1. About the Department -

Matoshri Nanibai Ghalphalkar Science College is located at the centre of Babhulgaon established in 2008. Matoshri Nanibai Ghalphalkar is the oldest and one of the single science faculty colleges in Babhulgaon rural region. The department of physics was established in 2008. Our first batch comes out in 2011. Department of physics has major contribution in the development of students in scientific view. The main motive of the physics department is too aware every student who is admitting to physics department must know the theoretical as well as practical postulates of universe. Currently, there are four faculty members in our physics department. There is one laboratory for undergraduate students. The department also has special dark room for UG practical

7. Facilities:-

Department of Physics at the MNG science college, Babhulgaon has one laboratory with well-equipped instruments for undergraduate students. Department of physics has one special dark room to perform light intensive experiments.

Special Events and Activities (year wise):-

In addition to the regular academic activities the students of our department celebrate teachers’ day. Faculty members of the department also present motivational speeches and discuss career opportunities during such occasion. Seminar talks on specific topic are arranged in the department on a regular basis.

Academic Year (2016-17):-

In this academic year we have taken many relevant activities like small experimental workshops in which we have given the basic information for instrument handling in laboratory.
Physics department participated in "Avishkar” with LED Preparations project.

Academic Year (2017-18):-

In this academic session we have conducted one day workshop for physics department.
Physics department celebrated National Science Day on 28th Feb 2018. The theme for the day was “Science for the students”. B.Sc. students attended the session. The journey of session were screened below.
Physics Department Successfully installed the Parabolic solar Cooker in collaboration with Dr. A.P. Deshpande ,Physics staff and students.
Physics Department organised Inaugural Function and welcomed students.

Academic Year (2018-19):-

In this academic session Physics Department Conducted National Science day.
Physics Department conducted one day workshop for physics students.
Departmental Inaugural function Held by Department In presence of Dr. A.P. Deshpande Sir.

Academic Year (2019-20):-

Department of Physics Organized National Science Day
Department of physics conducted workshop on solar cell technology by performing solar cooker experiment.

Academic Year (2020-21):-

Department of Physics had organized various Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities to enhance the knowledge of learners in the field of Physic. The brief of the activities conducted are as follows:
On the occasion of National Science Day Department of Physics Organized a Science Seminar Competition (Online) for the undergraduate Students on 28th Feb 2021.
Department Of Physics organized online Inaugural function in the presence of Dr. A. P. Deshpande sir, Principal of MNG Science College, Babhulgaon.
Department Of Physics Conducted online Teacher’s Day on 5th Sept 2021 in collaboration with other departments. The brief of the event screened below.

Best Practices :-

The Department Of Physics had its beginning in the year 2008, Physics as a core subject and it is a three year full time course. Department’s faculty members played on important role in the development of Science department in MNG Science college. The faculty have involved for the preparation of solar cooker project. Seminars are given by the students on different topics.
Digital platforms used to perform experimental views that encourage students to perform practical with more interest. To enhance the practical knowledge that help students to adopt technology to excel in the field of experiments.
To make every student digitally literate computer labs used.
Activity based teaching learning has been used to interact more with students.
